Anaïs Godard has joined Team Fuse as Laurie McLean’s newest client. Anais writes romantasy. Her initial project is THE CLEARLIGHT TRILOGY’S The Tether and the Flame.
Anaïs is a Franco-American writer, artist, and cultural critic. A 2025 Letter Review Prize winner, her fiction and essays appear in McSweeney’s, Fractured Lit, Mensa Bulletin, Women on Writing, Flash Fiction Magazine, Beyond Words, and elsewhere. She contributes book reviews to CALYX, where she explores symbolism, memory, and meaning-making through a feminist lens.
Trained in linguistics and semiotics at La Sorbonne, Anaïs gravitates toward layered, symbolic storytelling shaped by her life as a woman, an immigrant, and the mother of neurodivergent twins.
A former TV producer, she co-founded @nastywomenLA to elevate women’s voices in the arts. Her activism has been featured in exhibitions like WE RISE LA, and she’s held editorial roles at ARTE Magazine and Uncharted Magazine. She lives in Los Angeles, where she writes and wanders libraries with her children.
